About Ring 177

Karnataka IBM Ring 177 is part of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) - the world's largest organization for magicians and for people interested in the magical arts.

Located in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka State, India, Ring 177 has magicians from all over the state and other parts of the country as its members. Ring 177 was originally founded by a group of enthusiastic magicians led by Magician SK Vasantha Kumar in Bangalore in 1965.

After a brief period of inactivity, the Karnataka IBM Ring 177 was revived in March 2011 in a joint initiative by local magicians in Karnataka.

The International Brotherhood of Magicians is headquartered in USA and boasts of some 14,000 members from over 73 countries with 300-plus local groups (called Rings). Founded in 1922, the IBM is considered to be the most respected organisation in the world for magic collectors, magic hobbyists, and amateur and professional magicians.
